Kia Motors Corporation announced its October 2018 global sales figures for passenger cars, recreational vehicles (RVs) and commercial vehicles, recording a total of 250,294 units sold, which represents a 4.2 percent year-on-year increase. Overseas sales rose 0.8 percent compared to the previous year, posting 204,194 units led by steady sales of Ceed, Picanto, and Sportage models. The new Ceed, a Europe-specific hatchback, recorded a 21.5 percent increase, with 9,327 units sold. Sales in Korea totaled 46,100 units, representing a surge of 22.9 percent from the same month a year before, led by newly launched sedan models such as Forte (also known as K3 in some markets) and K900. The all-new 2020 Soul crossover will make its world debut on Wednesday, November 28 at 14:15 (PST) at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Instantly recognizable and thoroughly modern, the new Soul arrives with something for everyone, offering more technology, a range of advanced driver assistance systems, and increased cargo room. Kia Motors Corporation announced its November 2018 global sales figures for passenger cars, recreational vehicles (RVs) and commercial vehicles, recording a total of 247,115 units sold, which represents a 3.8 percent year-on-year decrease. Overseas sales dropped 4.6 percent compared to the previous year, posting 198,415 units, due to sluggish sales in China as industry demand waned in the world’s largest auto market. Sales in Korea totaled 48,700 units, representing a decrease of 0.7 percent from the same month a year before. Strong sedan model sales such as K900 and K3 helped offset decline in RV models. Kia’s best-selling model in global markets in November was Sportage SUV with 42,578 units sold.
