- Michael Harley to lead global marketing and communications for the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer
- Based out of Los Angeles, Harley will report to Chairman and CEO, John Hennessey
Sealy, Texas (August 16, 2022) – Hennessey today announces the appointment of Michael Harley as the new Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Harley will oversee global marketing and communications at Hennessey Special Vehicles, Hennessey Performance (HPE), and Tuner School.
With decades of industry experience, Michael Harley is a noted automotive expert who has held key roles at J.D. Power and Associates, Autoblog, AutoWeb, Autotrader, and Autobytel. Harley was most recently Executive Editor at Kelley Blue Book.
Before his move to the automotive industry in 2006, Harley held the Director of Creative Resources position at Cameo Guild, Inc., where he managed development and marketing for the global gift and collectible manufacturer and importer.
“I’m pleased to welcome Michael to Hennessey and look forward to working with him closely as our company continues to grow,” said John Hennessey, Chairman, and CEO, of Hennessey. “Our MAMMOTH 1000 and VelociRaptor pickups are selling at a record pace, and we sold out of the 1,817-hp Venom F5 Coupe hypercar shortly after its introduction. We are introducing the F5 Roadster this week at Pebble Beach, and we have a strong future plan. I am confident that Harley’s knowledge, experience, and passion for high-performance vehicles will help ensure our continued success.”
Commenting on his new role, Michael Harley said: “I’ve been a bona fide car guy since birth, so this is the proverbial automotive ‘dream job.’ Hennessey is home to the world’s fastest truck, the world’s fastest convertible, and the 300+ mph Venom F5 hypercar. I am surrounded by high horsepower and a dynamic company of car and truck enthusiasts continuously pushing the performance envelope – I am delighted to join John’s team.”
As it has for more than 30 years, Hennessey continues to engineer high-performance combustion-powered cars and trucks. But the Texas-based company is preparing for an electrified future. Last year, the company unveiled its ‘Project Deep Space” concept. The all-electric 6×6, with unique diamond seating, is part of Hennessey’s strategic product plan to introduce three all-new vehicles over the next ten years.
