Buick Strengthening Premium SUV Family in China with All-New Envista

2022-08-18

SHANGHAI – Buick today announced that the all-new Envista compact SUV will make its global debut at the 2022 Chengdu Motor Show later this month.

“The arrival of the Envista will further expand Buick’s presence in the high-demand premium SUV segment while meeting the diverse needs of our local customers,” said Cesar Toledo, general director of Buick Sales and Marketing at SAIC-GM. “With its stunning design, advanced technology and spirited performance, the Envista will appeal to buyers shopping across multiple vehicle segments.”

Developed on GM’s new-generation compact SUV platform, the Envista incorporates Buick’s global design language, including the all-new Buick logo mounted on the vehicle body.

Breaking free from traditional SUV design, the Envista’s contemporary styling is matched with a spacious interior and a generous 2,700-mm wheelbase.

Inspired by the PURE Design philosophy, the Envista features the new face of Buick. It is highlighted by a forward-leaning nose and a lower-mounted, modern and detailed grille design. The LED headlamps and taillamps represent an evolution of Buick’s signature wing lighting, in a thinner and more crisp form. The sides continue the sculptural beauty, with powerful fender forms and a sculpted waistline.

To add even more personality, the Envista will be available with the GS package. It includes an exclusive black mesh grille and distinguished 18-inch black-painted wheels paired with red brake calipers, giving it a more youthful and sporty appearance.

In addition, the Envista is equipped with the latest Buick eConnect connectivity system and segment-leading smart propulsion system, providing a more pleasant and appealing mobility experience for modern consumers.

Buick has found success offering premium SUVs and cars with sculptural designs, refined performance, modern interiors and thoughtful personal technologies. Buick’s award-winning customer service and sales experience, along with the Avenir trim, the highest expression of Buick luxury, are attracting new buyers to experience Buick’s unique approach to attainable luxury in North America and China. Buick has sold over 10 million vehicles in China since its introduction by SAIC-GM in 1998. More information about Buick vehicles in China, its largest market, is available at www.Buick.com.cn.
