PLANO, Texas (Sept. 1, 2022) – Toyota and Lexus are conducting a Noncompliance Safety Recall involving certain 2022 model year Tundra and Lexus NX250 and NX350 vehicles in the U.S. Approximately 84,000 vehicles are involved in this recall.
The electronic parking brake (EPB) in the subject vehicles may not engage or disengage properly. An EPB that cannot be engaged could be a noncompliance with a federal safety standard and result in vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.
For all involved vehicles, Toyota and Lexus dealers will update the skid control ECU software at no cost to customers.
Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late October 2022.
