Wuling Launches Hong Guang MINIEV Cabrio in China

SHANGHAI – SAIC-GM-Wuling has officially launched China’s first convertible EV – the Wuling Hong Guang MINIEV Cabrio. It followed the MINIEV Gameboy’s launch this April and the MINIEV Macaron’s launch and MINIEV Cabrio’s reveal last April.
The Hong Guang MINIEV Cabrio features a folding soft top. It is available in three exterior colors (blue, green and black) along with two soft top colors (red and black) as well as two stylish two-toned interior colors. The two-seater has a length of 3,059 mm, width of 1,521 mm, height of 1,614 mm and wheelbase of 2,010 mm. It is priced at RMB 99,900.
The Hong Guang MINIEV Cabrio generates 30 kW of maximum power and 110 Nm of maximum torque. It has a top speed of 100 km/h and a range of up to 280 km on a single charge. The mighty mini accelerates from 0-50 km/h in eight seconds.
About 65% of the Hong Guang MINIEV Cabrio’s body consists of high-strength steel. It also comes standard with two air bags, automatic locking, the antilock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD).
The Hong Guang MINIEV family is the best-selling NEV in China – the world’s largest NEV market – where it has now been No. 1 for 24 consecutive months. It has also been the No.1 NEV in the world for seven months, with cumulative sales of over one million units since its launch in July 2020. It is especially popular among China’s younger generation.
