Wuling Introduces All-New Xing Chi Small SUV

“The First Vehicle for Young People in China”

2022-09-29

SHANGHAI – SAIC-GM-Wuling yesterday launched the Wuling Xing Chi. Its all-new small SUV is being positioned as “the first vehicle for young people in China.” Six variants range in price from RMB 56,800 to RMB 86,800.

As the fourth model wearing Wuling’s global silver badge, the Xing Chi inherits the brand’s “dynamic wing” design DNA. The chrome grille has an exquisite matrix design, reminiscent of an eagle spreading its wings. Its attractive side lines are strong and full, running from front to back and adding to its contemporary styling.

Supporting the Xing Chi’s youthful personality and sportiness are the new Ling OS operating system, D-shaped steering wheel and five-spoke 17-inch racing-style wheels with red brake calipers. The convergence of wing-style taillights under the “duck tail” spoiler gives it an energetic feel, while enhancing the small SUV’s posture. Large-diameter dual exhausts showcase its personality and fun spirit.

The all-new model has a large trunk with 322 liters of space and 27 storage compartments. Its rear fold-flat seats are unique in its class. They give it a flat space of up to 1.9 meters in length, which will please camping and other outdoor enthusiasts with a need for room.

Customers can choose from three fuel-efficient powertrain combinations to meet their individual driving preferences: a 1.5-liter engine matched with a manual transmission or continuously variable transmission (CVT), or a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a CVT.
