MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS-DEFENSE/. Russian troops have shot down a Sukhoi Su-24 plane of the Ukrainian Air Force and 15 unmanned aerial vehicles, destroyed 14 rockets of the HIMARS and Olkha multiple launch rocket systems during the special military operation in Ukraine, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said.
Long-range sea-based precision-guided weapons hit an arsenal in the settlement of Brody in the Lvov Region where considerable stockpiles of armaments, military hardware and ammunition delivered by Western countries were stored.
The Russian Aerospace Force hit military command and energy infrastructure sites in the Kiev and Kharkov Regions with precision-guided weapons.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy made three unsuccessful attempts to attack the positions of the Russian troops. The advancing units of the Ukrainian armed forces were stopped and dispersed in the far reaches by Russian artillery systems. Up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored fighting vehicles and four pickup trucks were eliminated.
In the Krasny Liman direction, in the past 24 hours, units of the Ukrainian army attempted to conduct reconnaissance by fire along the entire line of contact. Active actions by Russian troops supported by artillery crews inflicted damage on the enemy by firepower. The remnants of the Ukrainian units were pushed back to their initial positions. More than 120 Ukrainian servicemen, five armored fighting vehicles, four pickup trucks and four automotive vehicles were eliminated.
In the Vremevka tactical direction, Russian troops seized dominant heights near Vremevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic while pursuing the retreating Ukrainian units. More than 90 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks, six armored fighting vehicles and three pickup trucks were destroyed.
In the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog direction, the enemy undertook a series of unsuccessful attacks towards the settlements of Dudchany, Pyatikhatki and Ishchenka in the Kherson Region. All the attacks were repelled by Russian troops. As a result of the strikes, more than 130 Ukrainian servicemen, three tanks, 11 armored fighting vehicles and seven automotive vehicles were eliminated.
Missile strikes delivered by Russia’s Aerospace Force near the city of Nikolayev hit the temporary deployment sites of the Ukrainian army’s 59th motorized infantry brigade and the Foreign Legion mercenary formation. The enemy lost more than 170 troops and militants, four armored fighting vehicles, three pickup trucks and six automotive vehicles.
In the past 24 hours, operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery units hit two command posts, 63 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 156 areas. Six ammunition depots were destroyed near Kupyansk in the Kharkov Region, Krasnoye, Novosyolovka Pervaya in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Gulyaypole in the Zaporozhye Region, Kalinovka and Novoaleksandrovka in the Nikolayev Region.

In the past 24 hours, air defenses downed 15 unmanned aerial vehicles near the settlements of Novaya Tarasovka in the Kharkov Region, Poltava and Sofiyevka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Petrovskoye, Staromayorskoye, Nikolskoye and Kodema in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Energodar in the Zaporozhye Region, Respublikanets, Dmitrenko, Tomarino, Chaikino and Chkalovo in the Kherson Region and Tavricheskoye in the Dnepropetrovsk Region. They also destroyed 14 rockets of the HIMARS and Olkha multiple launch rocket systems near Tomarino, Otradokamenka, Novaya Kakhovka, Verovka and Vesyoloye in the Kherson Region.
Since the beginning of the special military operation, the Russian troops have eliminated 322 Ukrainian warplanes, 161 helicopters, 2,226 unmanned aerial vehicles, 380 air defense missile systems, 5,753 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 869 multiple rocket launchers, 3,473 field artillery systems and mortars, and 6,560 special military motor vehicles.
