1Applications can now be submitted online at www.bildung-opel.de: In the coming year, Opel will again be offering 120 young people the opportunity to start their careers with an apprenticeship, a dual or cooperative course of study at the Rüsselsheim site.
2The training is important: After all, Opel can look back on 155 years of training tradition – including modern training and study conditions as well as technical expertise with its own training center. In 2022, Opel trainees were again among the graduates with the best exam results. Six young professionals from Rüsselsheim received an award at the Darmstadt Rhein Main Neckar Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s awards ceremony at the end of September.
3Top training with prospects: In addition to the classic metal, electrical and commercial professions, which are regularly adapted to the requirements of the new working world, Opel also offers a wide range of courses – both in cooperation with an IHK training course and as a dual course Studies. New in the coming year will be, among other things, the “Industrial Engineering with a Focus on Digital Transformation” course offered in cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University.
4Get to know each other at a taster day: In addition to a classic job interview, Opel invites potential applicants to an assessment center. At the one-day “GO-OPEL” event, employees present the professions and departments, and there are individual and group discussions. The aim is not only to hire those applicants who have the best school leaving certificate and the best grades, but also those with good skills and abilities.
5 places for entry qualification: Anyone who has not yet found an apprenticeship for 2022 and would like to find their way in the professional world can complete a pre-vocational year in entry qualification metal technology at Opel from October 2022. For 11 months, six young people can get to know the corporate structures and prepare for vocational training.
