MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS-DEFENSE/. Russian troops have shot down a Mikoyan MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian army, 24 MLRS rockets, including 14 HIMARS shells, eliminated 12 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), a radar of the S-300 system and an ammunition depot during the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy’s two battalions reinforced by foreign mercenaries attempted to deliver an attack towards the settlements of Yagodnoye, Nikolayevka and Orlyanka in the Kharkov Region and Kuzemovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic. As a result of fire damage and Russian troops’ active operations, the enemy was pushed back to the initial positions. Up to 150 Ukrainian servicemen and mercenaries, six tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles and 10 automotive vehicles were destroyed.
In the Krasny Liman direction, Russian troops attacked the enemy by long-range artillery systems, assault and army aviation aircraft at distant approaches. The Ukrainian army’s attempts to deliver attacks towards the settlements of Makeyevka, Ploshchanka and Chervonopopovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic were thwarted. As a result, about 250 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, five pickup trucks and two automotive vehicles were eliminated.
In the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog direction, Russian troops thwarted the Ukrainian army’s breakthrough attempts near Ishchenka, Bruskinskoye, Sukhanovo and Pyatikhatki in the Kherson Region. As a result of fire damage and the Russian troops’ active operations, the enemy was pushed back to the initial positions. Russian troops destroyed 105 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks, nine armored fighting vehicles and seven automotive vehicles. Also, a guidance and target designation radar of the S-300 air defense missile system was eliminated.
Operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery units hit the command post of the Ukrainian National Guard’s 15th regiment near Kirovsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as 73 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 169 areas.
In counterbattery warfare, a platoon of the Ukrainian army’s Uragan multiple launch rocket systems was hit near Malye Prokhody in the Kharkov Region. The Russian troops also eliminated an ammunition depot near the settlement of Yelizavetovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and a fuel storage facility for Ukrainian military hardware near the settlement of Smela in the Cherkasy Region.

In the 24 hours, air defense systems eliminated 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Snegirevka in the Nikolayev Region, Ishchenka, Verovka and Obryvka in the Kherson Region, Oborotnovka and Viktorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Orlyanka, Vladimirovka and Grakovo in the Kharkov Region, Polnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
In the past 24 hours, the Russian troops shot down 24 MLRS rockets, including 14 HIMARS rockets, near the settlements of Antonovka and Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson Region, as well as 10 Olkha and Uragan rockets near Makeyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Chernobayevka in the Kherson Region. They also eliminated two US-made HARM anti-radar missiles near Antonovka in the Kherson Region.
Since the beginning of the special military operation, the Russian troops have eliminated 330 Ukrainian warplanes, 167 helicopters, 2,414 unmanned aerial vehicles, 384 air defense missile systems, 6,270 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 881 multiple rocket launchers, 3,544 field artillery systems and mortars, and 6,967 special military motor vehicles.
The Kiev regime does not cease provocations in order to create a threat of a man-made disaster at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (NPP). In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian artillery units fired nine shells against the industrial zone of the thermal power plant of Energodar and the territory adjacent to the nuclear power plant. Fire was delivered from Marganets and Chervonogrigorovka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region controlled by the Ukrainian army. Russian artillery units suppressed the enemy’s weapons by retaliatory fire. The radiation situation is normal.
