Together to launch joint and coordinated actions useful for strengthening and improving synergies and support within sectors of common interest and competence

The Automobile Club of Italy and the Defense Staff have signed a ‘Framework Agreement’ to launch joint and coordinated actions useful for strengthening and improving synergies and support in the fields of common interest and competence. Initiatives aimed, on the one hand, at promoting the well-being of military and civilian defense personnel, on the other at ensuring collaboration with a non-economic public body that has been constantly at the service of the community since 1926.

Central elements of the Agreement, which will have a four-year duration, signed in Rome by the president of the ACI, Angelo Sticchi Damiani and by the Chief of Defense Staff, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone (pro-tempore), are: the activity called ” Progetto Turismo” with which the ACI, starting from the analysis of the crisis due to the health emergency and the negative effects produced on the tourism sector in the world, proposes a strategy for Italy inspired by the unitary enhancement and promotion of tourist and cultural resources of the country. An initiative that could also include the inclusion of tourist itineraries that allow you to reach areas/sites/museums of historical defense interest. But also the promotion and coordination of other projects of mutual interest such as, for example: the development of information interventions, professional training in the road safety sector; the promotion of initiatives in favor of young people in terms of spreading the culture of road safety, with the implementation of activities related to “safe driving”; the administrative, logistic and economic organization of events such as congresses, conferences, round tables, conventions and symposiums, seminars, workshops and conventions, exchange of experiences, sporting events, itinerant tours, joint publications and of common interest, etc.

The Automobile Club of Italy and the Defense Staff have developed several important agreements in recent years, including: the promotion of activities in technological, industrial research and experimental development on various topics; the valorisation of the Motorization Museum of Rome with a view to its inclusion in a circuit of visits; the promotion of initiatives on the subject of safe driving.
