ACI: responsible for driving

In 2021, 151,875 accidents with injuries to people were recorded on Italian roads, causing 2,875 deaths and 204,728 injuries. Every day, on average, 416 accidents, 7.9 deaths and 561 injuries.

The statistics on road accidents, compiled by ACI and Istat, show us a situation of gradual return to normal following the easing of the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

On the World Day in Remembrance of Road Victims, with this video, the Automobile Club of Italy intends to sensitize everyone to always respect the rules dictated by the Highway Code and to use the utmost caution, whatever vehicle you use to get around: four-wheeled or two-wheeled two wheels. It is absolutely necessary to pay particular attention when driving the so-called ‘soft mobility’ vehicles: the scooter or the bicycle. Never forget, then, that in the event of an accident, it is the pedestrian who suffers the worst.

It is always good to keep in mind that there is no safe speed: “Your risk, your responsibility”! Drive carefully – always and everywhere – your safety and that of others depends on it!
