STATEMENTS

José López-Tafall, general director of ANFAC indicated that “sales of electrified vehicles advance in their penetration in the national market. Compared to the previous year, the market is growing, but the pace is still very slow. In the last month, a share close to 10% of total sales is achieved, when the electrified should be registering a 15% share. At this rate it is evident that the objectives of 120,000 units sold in 2022 will not be met and that they were necessary to achieve the first milestone that allows us to achieve the emission reduction commitments for 2030 set by the Government. Spain continues to lag behind the rate of electrification of neighboring countries with both higher (Germany) and lower (Portugal) per capita income. We need concrete measures to come out of the GTIRVE table meeting on December 20, practical measures that speed up the deadlines for installing charging points and their feasibility, especially for fast charging. Also that the efficiency of the Moves III aids be improved. In the last general budgets of the State from ANFAC different initiatives have been supported that the Government have vetoed almost in their majority. Accelerating the demand implies establishing forceful measures and any opportunity from the public sphere must be taken advantage of”.
