PARIS, France – Nissan is expanding its Electric Travel Guide, helping travellers add new destinations to their sustainable journeys. The upcoming editions of the guide embark on the cross-country adventure of a lifetime, featuring pit stops in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia.
Nissan tested the itinerary across the four countries with the Nissan Ariya, the 100% electric has proven vehicle itself the perfect travel companion with its remarkable consumption efficiency giving a range up to 533kms. Its welcoming lounge-like interior and roominess makes Ariya fully suited for an enjoyable road trip.
Designed to help global travellers enjoy more conscious holidays, the Nissan Electric Travel Guide curates a novel mix of culture, cuisine, and nature, while connecting must-see spots along picturesque routes. Putting together a range of dining options, hotel recommendations, local attractions, and EV charging points along the journey, the Guide is an ideal solution for those planning the ultimate sustainable getaway.
Global travellers are increasingly prioritising impact and purpose while planning their trips. As many as eight out of ten (81%1) agree they want to travel to destinations where they can immerse themselves into the local culture, while six out of ten (62%2) say they want to be more thoughtful about where and how they travel.
“Sustainability drives our efforts to accelerate the shift to an electrified future. In addition to being a guiding principle for us all, we recognise that it is a mindset,” said Friederike Kienitz, Senior Vice President, Sustainability, Corporate Affairs and Governance, Nissan AMIEO. “The Nissan Electric Travel Guide bridges the gap between electric vehicles and the lifestyle considerations that are key to achieving sustainability. It connects the dots between the car you drive and the best local destinations, restaurants, and experiences, helping you plan a unique, authentic, and sustainable holiday.”
Following the launch of its first edition in Stockholm earlier this year, the new guides will take users on an expansive journey across Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia – showcasing the many highlights on offer in their respective capital cities. EV drivers can also choose to discover each individual city and plan their own road trips.
From repurposed buildings and locally sourced meals to eco-responsible hotels, Nissan takes EV drivers on a sustainable adventure. Explore the world-famous State Opera House in Vienna; take in the unrivalled views of Prague, the ‘City of a Hundred Spires’; discover the awe-inspiring marvel of Budapest Castle; or take a stroll through Central Europe’s oldest public park in Bratislava. Users can do all this and much more with the latest edition of the Nissan Electric Travel Guide.
Travellers can also plan a trip to Stockholm, the first city covered by Nissan’s ongoing digital content series, with new locations to be added in the future.
