Dennis Rodman was renowned among the masses for his eccentric character and bizarre antics. Though he was famous for these activities, they landed him in trouble quite a lot of times. Most of these incidents happened during his days at the Chicago Bulls. However, some notable incidents also happened before he joined the team of Michael Jordan and Co. Among such incidents, the story of Rodman landing in trouble due to a trip to Vegas amidst the 1995 playoffs is one to remember.

In an interview with Bryan Hood of ‘Robb Report,’ Dwight Manley revealed how he became the agent of Dennis Rodman. In addition to that, he also revealed an intriguing story of how Rodman landed himself in trouble amidst the 1995 playoffs.

Dennis Rodman found himself in Vegas in the middle of the 1995 Playoffs
Dwight Manley disclosed in the interview that he met Rodman for the first time in 1993. Furthermore, he added that they hung out for a couple of years before he started to represent him in 1995. However, Manley also revealed that this hanging out once landed Rodman in trouble in 1995.

He started off by saying, they went into Vegas to hang out with former Sports Illustrated journalist, Mike Silver, and Spurs center, Jake Halley. Manley added that they had a great time there until the-then Spurs coach, Bob Hill, called Rodman.

The veteran agent shared that Bob called Rodman and said, ” Get back here. You’re in trouble, Dennis, blah blah blah.” Subsequently, with all this happening, he put Rodman and Silver back on the plane to get back to their respective workplaces.
Thereafter, Rodman went on to play the remaining game of the playoffs, which he ultimately lost. Hence, Rodman’s trip to Vegas landed him in trouble, though he got to play in the playoffs. Incidentally, this meeting between Rodman and Silver in the plane also gave birth to the interview where Rodman could be found posing with the parakeet.
