The new pictorial exhibition of the artist Domenico Grasso, a self-taught and versatile painter who paints out of an innate passion, is visible from today, Friday 17 February. The exhibition is divided into two parts: the first called “Windows on landscapes” on the ground floor and on the first floor; while on the second floor the paintings are part of the second part of the exhibition called “Turbulence in space: the universe and energy”
The exhibition is visible until 17 March 2023 in the now usual exhibition spaces of the town hall of Grugliasco, with entrance from Piazza Matteotti 50, from Monday to Thursday from 8.30 to 17.30 and on Friday from 8.30 to 15.30. Saturday and Sunday closed.
Mimmo Grasso was born in Montesarchio, in the province of Benevento, in 1964. He comes from a family of artisans dedicated to working clay for a generation. Since he was a child, in the family workshop, he has learned the art of manipulating clay, modeling pottery and other types of artefacts.
In 1986 he moved to Grugliasco and joined the large “Bertone” family in Corso Allamano, where he learned the art of modeling metals and composite materials from skilled craftsmen to create “dream” cars.
He has been an employee of FCA Italy Stellantis since 2011.
“In my free time – says the painter Grasso – I dedicate myself to painting and the manipulation of materials such as clay, iron and wood, thus keeping my experience and my passions alive. The places dearest to me come back to life in my works”.
