Kongsberg Automotive is awarded a contract worth EUR 26 million in estimated lifetime revenue for a product used in electric vehicles

Kongsberg Automotive (KA)’s Driveline business unit has won a new contract for actuators worth EUR 26 million in estimated lifetime revenue.

The contract is for KA’s electric rotary actuator ARC. The product is used to change drive modes on the transmission as park (P), drive (D), neutral (N), and reverse (R).

The three-year contract, within the passenger cars segment, was awarded to KA by one of the largest Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in China, supporting the customer in their energy transition.

KA’s Wuxi facility will be producing and supplying the product.

“KA will be the sole-supplier of this product and will support the OEM’s new energy development strategy. The strategy focuses on transition—from hybrid applications to EV,” says David Redfearn, KA’s Chief Sales Officer.
