Who is Guillaume Pelletreau?
Guillaume assumed the role of Vice President of Electrification and Connected Services in January 2022, and is based at Nissan AMIEO HQ in Paris, France.
Guillaume reports to Francois Bailly, Senior Vice President and Regional Chief Planning Officer AMIEO, and also has a functional reporting line to Leon Dorssers, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales AMIEO.
Guillaume plays a key role leading the electrification of AMIEO region as well as supporting the company to empower mobility globally. This is a key pillar of Nissan’s Ambition 2030 vision, driving towards a cleaner, safer and more inclusive world.
In relation to connected services, Guillaume’s remit involves structuring and organising the AMIEO region so that Nissan is able to efficiently specify, design and deliver services around the vehicle, with the aim of increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Career History
Guillaume has been with the company for over 17 years, having joined Nissan in 2005 following a career in consulting. Although the majority of his professional experience has been within sales and marketing, Guillaume also has extensive experience working within corporate strategy and planning departments.
Guillaume has spent half of his Nissan career at Nissan’s Europe and AMIEO headquarters in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France, and in Rolle, Switzerland, working within the Sales & Marketing; Strategy & Business Planning; Product Marketing; and Corporate Strategy & Planning departments. The other half of his career has been spent in field operations at three different regional business units including various roles across Europe such as Marketing Director, Nissan West Europe (France and Netherlands), Portugal Country Director, Managing Director of Nissan Center Europe (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) and Commercial Director of Infiniti Europe.
Achievements
For Guillaume, it is difficult to pick one achievement in isolation, but a recent highlight has been the full restructuring of Nissan’s operations in the Centre region, including the transfer of Nissan’s business in Austria and Switzerland to a private importer. As a result, the Nissan Centre Team is now able to focus on the German market entirely, whilst securing the required level of support for both its Swiss and Austrian operations. This has provided Nissan’s customers with an increased level of service, whilst also presenting the company and its dealers with stronger and more profitable growth across each market.
Personal Memory
A fond memory for Guillaume came three months after joining Nissan when he attended an Alliance conference in Tokyo, Japan. Part of the programme included a visit to Nissan’s Technical Centre in Atsugi. Together with Renault colleagues, attendees had the opportunity to observe Nissan designers at work and have an exclusive glimpse of Nissan’s future product line-up. Guillaume remembers feeling incredibly proud to work for Nissan on that day – a feeling that has followed him throughout the 17 years of his career.
Why is Nissan Different
Guillaume says it is boldness, noting that at Nissan everyone is daring to do what others do not – this is what attracted him to the company. He has always considered nothing to be impossible at Nissan and feels that this is the DNA of the company.
Future Predictions
Guillaume believes that the automotive market will continue to be disrupted on an unprecedented scale in the coming years. This disruption will take place across a wide range of sectors including customer experience, where the customer journey will become more digitally focussed than ever, with the customer constantly seeking new, alternative mobility solutions. Powertrains will also witness radical change, with a real acceleration in electric mobility, stimulated by government actions, stronger citizen awareness and an increase of options from all competitors. In addition, Guillaume says the emergence of a full ecosystem around electromobility will take place, as will developments in digitalisation and the emergence of new distributive formats.
The automotive industry of the future could be unrecognisable from that of today and with this level of disruption comes great opportunities for the players who are daring to take risks. Guillaume believes this is a very exciting time for those who are leading the change and are agile enough to act and react quickly.
Education

In Guillaume’s Personal Time
As a family man, Guillaume enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is also a keen sportsman and tries to participate in as many sporting activities as possible – Guillaume is a firm believer that his mind only works when the body is in good shape!
Having lived in Switzerland for 12 years, mountainous activities such as ski mountaineering take up much of his time. Skiing for pleasure, and in (amateur) competitions, Guillaume enjoys racing alongside his wife, with both having taken part in the Swiss Patrouille des Glaciers in 2018 and in 2022, and doing backcountry skiing raids such as the Haute Route between Chamonix and Zermatt in 2021. He plans on skiing up and down Mont Blanc as his next challenge.
When not participating in adventurous sports activities, Guillaume also enjoys reading and collecting comic books. With a collection of almost 2,000 pieces at home, Guillaume takes great pleasure in re-reading them from time to time.
Your Current Car
After 16 years driving the Nissan Pathfinder, which fortunately had enough room for the whole family – including all four teenagers – as well as a Nissan LEAF since 2013, Guillaume now drives a Nissan Ariya.
Your First Car
Guillaume’s first car was a Ford Fiesta MkII, 1984 plate. Receiving it in 1992 after working for his aunt in Paris for six years, the car was not in the best shape with Guillaume noting “there was no part of the body that was still intact when I got it!”
