A new module available from June 2023 in Europe
On the occasion of the ISICEM Congress (International symposium on Intensive Care & Emergency Medicine, Brussels, March 21-24, 2023), Michelin is launching a new Front Head Module to complement its Michelin AirProne air cushions kit for patients in intensive care. This new Front Head Module facilitates the positioning of patients with short necks and/or suffering from cervical spinal pathologies.
This new air cushion, developed thanks to the collaborative work carried out with the teams of the polyvalent intensive care unit department of the Centre Hospitalier Intercommunal d’Alençon Mamers, allows the patient to be installed in a front ventral decubitus position in complete safety thanks to the maintenance of the intubation probe and to ensure the ventilation system of the critical patient suffering from Acute Respiratory Distress (ARDS) when it is put into place.
Like the side head module, the Front Head Module guarantees comfort and reduction of the prevalence of pressure sores on the face for patients. This new module will be available for purchase in June 2023.
Michelin AirProne offers innovative solutions for better patient positioning in intensive care units, thereby helping to improve the quality and safety of healthcare. Michelin Airprone is a product line of Michelin Inflatable Solutions, the Group’s commercial brand for complex flexible composites and, more specifically, high-tech inflatable solutions.
