The signing of the protocol marks the start of a collaboration which, through the capillarity of recharging points and the innovation of services for electric drivers, aims to give further impetus to the transition to electric mobility in Italy

Rome, 18 April 2023 – Creating the conditions for the widespread diffusion of electric mobility by offering people cutting-edge solutions and increasingly efficient services: this is the objective of the protocol signed by Enel X Way, the Enel company dedicated to electric mobility, and ACI – Automobile Club d’Italia, which marks the beginning of an important agreement for the enhancement of e-mobility as an accelerator of the energy transition.

“Traveling by electric means not only moving in a sustainable way, but conceiving and experiencing first-hand an innovative, digital and less invasive transport experience – said Elisabetta Ripa, CEO of Enel X Way. – We are satisfied with the launch of this collaboration with ACI because it outlines the guidelines for the present and future of electric mobility in the country, through the development of projects and synergies that focus on two fundamental elements: the development of tailor-made solutions for user and his needs and the ability to create a system with the most important associations and companies in the automotive sector”.

“In this phase of transition and changes in mobility – declared the President of ACI, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, – it is important to have competent partners who play strategic roles in the sector such as Enel X Way. The signed protocol is the best follow-up to the activities for electric mobility already carried out by the experimental laboratory at the ACI Sara Safe Driving Center in Vallelunga.”

The partnership will make it possible to share mobility development plans, identifying suitable areas for the installation of Enel X Way recharging infrastructure, in the public and private sectors, in addition to the more than 18,000 points installed by the company throughout the territory; of technologically advanced solutions such as WayMedia – an integrated structure capable of combining the charging service and multimedia advertising services linked to the local context -, up to the installation of HPC (“High-Power Charging”), latest generation ultrafast infrastructures , capable of recharging the car in about 20 minutes. Services and solutions that Enel X Way makes available to ACI and Federation members, also with a view to using it for the electrification of offices.
