And they went straight through on Sunday with a 3-0 win in Augsburg. Now BVB needs a home win against Mainz next Saturday – and for the first time in eleven years, the Bundesliga is celebrating a title holder other than Bayern.
With all the jubilation about the change at the top, we shouldn’t forget to look down: Berlin’s Hertha have now been relegated after beating Bochum 1-1, but Stuttgart have continued to improve with a 4-1 win in Mainz get life. Now the Swabians are playing with Schalke, Bochum and Augsburg on four different places on the 34th matchday, who will occupy the second relegation place and the relegation place.
