@Groupe PSA: OP “Bayern fan? I am Leo!”000541

Mr. Wiedl, what is your relationship to Opel? I am an optician and have often glazed sunglasses from the Opel Collection. And I thought the Manta movies were cool.
And how did you come across our football tip? Just like that, while googling. I’ve been a football fan since I was little. Your betting game just appealed to me.
How did you follow the last Bundesliga matchday? At home in front of the TV, when “Sky” switched live. It was tremendously exciting. I had hoped for Dortmund. BVB didn’t score well against Mainz, but when Cologne equalized at home against Bayern, it would have been enough for the Black and Yellows. But then came Musiala.
How? You’re Bavarian, but have your fingers crossed for Dortmund? I’m a lion. My favorite club is TSV 1860 Munich. I’ve been a member there for 25 years. As a boy, my idol was Rudi Völler, who, as is well known, started his world career in the 1960s. How could I be a Bayern fan?

How difficult is it for you to hide sympathies and antipathies when betting? Since the lions are unfortunately only playing in the third division at the moment, I don’t find it that difficult to give Bundesliga tips in this regard. I don’t type for sympathy, as best I can, because that usually doesn’t end well. Did you see it this year? If it were up to me, someone else would have become master.
In the Opel Post betting game, you only prevailed over the last few meters against pursuers like “jr”. When did you have the feeling of crossing the finish line as the winner? I was actually relatively sure from the 30th matchday that I would win. I can actually say why exactly. Just stay away from that feeling.
Who surprised you this season, who disappointed you the most? Union Berlin and SC Freiburg surprised me positively. All the more gratifying that both are likeable clubs that have achieved big goals with a small budget and now represent the Bundesliga internationally. Borussia Mönchengladbach struck me negatively. They’re actually a great team, but they fell well short of their potential.
Mr Wiedl, thank you very much for the interview and we wish you continued success in the coming Bundesliga season.
