Thirteen Nissan women recognised in this year’s Autocar Great Women Rising Stars list
Event shines a spotlight on female UK automotive talent
Nissan is a proud sponsor of Autocar Great Women initiative, which is run in association with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders
28th June 2023, Coventry – Thirteen women from Nissan’s UK engineering, sales and manufacturing sites are celebrated today with the release of Autocar’s much-anticipated list of rising automotive stars.
The names were announced at the Autocar Great Women event, proudly sponsored by Nissan and held in Coventry in association with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
The initiative seeks to celebrate the up-and-coming stars of the British automotive sector and shines a spotlight on the wealth of female talent that exists across the industry.
Candidates are selected in several categories including customer aftercare, marketing, manufacturing, mobility and digital, operations, diversity equality and inclusion, PR and communications, purchasing, sales – retail, sales – OEM, and vehicle development, as well as a category specifically for apprentices.
Among the Rising Stars recognised this year are:
Lyndsay Kelly, Senior Controller – Outbound Logistics (Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK), nominated in the operations category
Alice Charity, Senior Controller Inbound Parts Operational Logistics (Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK), nominated in the operations category
Astrid Barsk-Knott, Section Manager Lead Management & Customer Experience (Nissan Motor GB), nominated in the marketing category
Helen Marshall, Aftersales Marketing & Planning Manager (Nissan Motor GB), nominated in the marketing category
Alice Nicholls, Product Marketing Section Manager (Nissan Motor GB), nominated in the marketing category
Rachel Clarke, Trade & Body Parts Product Manager (Nissan Motor GB), nominated in the customer aftercare category
Leonie Tapley, Content, Partnerships & Events Manager (Nissan Motor GB), nominated in the DE&I category
Tamara Better, Product Communications Manager (Nissan Motor GB), nominated in the PR & comms category
Suziey Walker, Brand Communications & Internal Engagement Manager (Nissan Motor GB), nominated in the PR & comms category
Stefanie Bowden, Sales Performance Manager (Nissan Motor GB), nominated in the sales category
Eve Davison, Maintenance Supervisor (Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK), nominated in the manufacturing category
Juljana Peter, Senior Engineer Digital Hypercomp (Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK), nominated in the mobility & digital category
Emma Rose Woolley, Project Management Degree Apprentice (Nissan Technical Centre Europe), nominated in the apprentice category
Tamara Better, Product Communications Manager (Nissan Motor GB), was also named winner of the PR & Comms category.
