Bilimportørenes Landsforening (BIL) is the car manufacturers’ and car importers’ trade organization in Norway. Our primary task is to secure the car industry’s framework conditions through communication and close dialogue with the population and the authorities. We work for the car’s place in society and for a knowledge-based approach to new technology and the green shift. BIL is committed to the 2025 target that all new cars must be emission-free.
This is the job: In the role of communications manager, you will be responsible for BIL’s communications work – strategically as well as operationally. The tasks include both strategic planning and operative storytelling in editorial and social media, as well as own channels.
We are looking for you who can create and manage the storytelling about our future path choices in an engaging way. Together with skilled colleagues, members, alliance partners and various agencies, you will work interdisciplinary to position BIL and create awareness of our work and our issues.
You will work with society and the media and explain and highlight the effects of the choices on road traffic. With your flair, we will highlight the opportunities, uncover the challenges, understand the consequences and contribute to solutions on the way to emission-free road traffic.
The position reports to the general manager, Erik Andresen.
This is you: You have an interest in society and transport and a minimum of five years’ experience in strategic and operational communication work. You must have good knowledge of and familiarity with the work with digital storytelling and dissemination in social media. If you have experience from organisations/NGOs, that is an advantage. As a person, you are open and enjoy building relationships. You are able to create activity and enthusiasm that brings others with you, and convey knowledge and commitment with conviction.
