The stabilization in production rates and the push from the business channel have allowed this rise in sales. STATEMENTS

Félix García, director of communication and marketing of ANFAC, explained that “July continues with the upward trend that we have in all the months of 2023. We continue to grow at a good pace, although July also used to be one of the months in which traditionally they exceeded 100,000 units sold and we have stayed very far. The priority for the new Government that arrives is to take measures to recover a market that must be, at least, above one million units, a previous step to reach 1.2 million passenger cars and 1.5 million vehicles per year. anus. Without this level of sales, the necessary renewal of the park does not take place, nor does the sales of low and zero emission vehicles increase, something necessary to comply with the demanding restrictions imposed with the fit for 55”.

Raúl Morales, communication director of FACONAUTO, indicated that “the most important thing about the vehicle registration data for the month of July is that it is growing, and there are already seven consecutive months of growth in the market. Even so, we are 30% below what we did in 2019, but, we insist, the most important thing is that the market continues adding growth and that it does not show signs of weakness. Facing the second half of the year, our forecast is that this growth in vehicle sales will continue because it seems that the economic and consumer context will favor us. But for this it is also very important that the political context accompanies us and it is essential that a stable government be formed as soon as possible, which gives buyers certainty.

According to GANVAM’s communication director, Tania Puche, highlighted that “a month like July, which historically used to be one of the best of the year in sales, closed below 100,000 units per month, which, in theory, marks the natural volume of our market. . Political uncertainty increases the risk that the economy will slow down, in a context that already contains business and household consumption, especially as a result of the rise in interest rates derived from the tightening of monetary policies. Hence the need to achieve a stable government as soon as possible that contributes to projecting a horizon of tranquility for consumers.
