Bilimportørenes Landsforening (BIL) is the car manufacturers’ and car importers’ trade organization in Norway. Our primary task is to secure the car industry’s framework conditions through close dialogue with the members and the authorities. BIL has a solid position thanks to fact-based work over many years.
This is the job: The car industry is changing rapidly. Our main goal is emission-free road traffic for all vehicle groups. New forms of mobility, tax systems, digitization of work processes and customer journeys, as well as new business and distribution models characterize the industry, which is undergoing major restructuring.
We are looking for you who can lead BIL’s work with analysis and social insight. We want an expert in the area of analysis where you carry out your own analyzes based on our needs. You will be responsible for investigating the factual basis for our car policy work. This includes public consultation statements, analyzes of the transport market, car tax systems and technological changes, etc. You will also be responsible for following up on the authorities’ and other organisations’ investigations. The role has been newly created, and you will therefore have ample opportunity to shape it. You will work closely with our members and alliance partners as well as consultants BIL uses.
This is you: BIL is looking for a person with relevant higher education and experience and competence in the area. You are preferably a social economist, political scientist, statistician etc. You have experience or an interest in transport policy matters, car taxes and the car’s place in society. You are able to create activity and preferably have a few years’ experience from a similar position in an organisation/ministry, possibly as an investigator in a political party.
This is the opportunity: With us you get a varied and exciting everyday life in an environment with great opportunities to set the framework for how we work with car policy matters, and not least how we document our views with thorough facts and insight.
The position reports to general manager Erik Andresen.
We offer: Participation in a competent professional environment, a large contact surface and a broad network of skilled employees at members, alliance partners etc.
Workplace: BIL will move into modern premises in central Oslo during the first half of 2024.
Application deadline: 01.10.2023
