MADRID, Apr. 18 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The PSA automobile group will increase its productivity by 5% per year between 2019 and 2021, according to the report on the Social Responsibility of the Company presented by the French company.

For its part, the firm ensures that efficiency is a condition to ensure financial security, investment capabilities and the deployment of the group’s strategy.

In addition, PSA has ensured that it will reduce the average costs of production of a vehicle in Europe by 700 euros, taking into account the normalization of Euro 6, and by 20% in China, between 2015 and 2018.

For its part, the document also includes plans for the Opel brand, which will generate an operating margin of 2% in 2020. In addition, Opel will offer in 2024 electrified versions of 100% of its models.

“Given the challenges of the automotive industry we must be more Darwinian than ever, agile and strong in our three markers: performance, responsibility and transparency,” said the president of the PSA Group’s board of directors, Carlos Tavares.
