SINGAPORE, Oct 4 (Reuters) – The European Union’s request to hold consultations within a “very short” period of time over an electric-vehicle subsidy probe without providing effective materials has severely damaged China’s rights, the Chinese commerce ministry said on Wednesday.

China will pay close attention to the commission’s follow-up investigative procedures and safeguard the rights and interests of Chinese firms, the ministry said.
