On December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated all over the world and on this occasion ACI has decided to propose again – with a different declination compared to the previous one – anew social campaign intended to promote inclusion in safe and sustainable mobility.
The campaign, developed through images of daily mobility that are easy to understand and have a certain impact, is entitled #tuttonormale and was designed to illustrate how those who find themselves living in a situation of disability still face the same problems, even minimal ones, that everyone faces every day. day.
The images represent scenes from the lives of each of us, with people with disabilities dealing with small daily setbacks, such as having lost the remote control or having discovered, on public transport, that they do not have an updated season ticket.
This campaign confirms the commitment of the Automobile Club of Italy alongside people with disabilities in continuity with the previous worldwide activity, shared and promoted with the FIA, focused on the universal principle of “all equal in mobility”.
Accessibility and inclusiveness in mobility is in fact a current social issue of primary importance, just think that in Italy alone – according to official Istat data – people suffering from disabilities are around 3.1 million or 5.2% of the national population. Almost half, one and a half million, are over 75 years old.
“Disability – said the president of ACI, Angelo Sticchi Damiani – must not mean exclusion. The commitment of the women and men who work for ACI is precisely to guarantee accessibility and inclusion also to those who find themselves in this delicate condition, with particular regard to the side that the Automobile Club oversees, that of mobility which must be a right for anyone. Campaigns like #tuttonormale constitute a fundamental part of our contribution to a more just and welcoming society, also in this sense”.
