What used to be known as the Chrysler Corporation purchased the Brampton Assembly Plant from AMC back in August 1987. Fast forward to May 2022, and Stellantis confirmed massive investments for both Windsor and the Brampton Assembly Plant for electrified vehicle production. Emphasis on electrified because the next-generation Charger is coming in the form of a three-door liftback with twin-turbo inline-six and zero-emission powertrains.
