@Groupe PSA: OP Bayer wins like Ditzinger: just under 000611

Bayern start the new year befittingly with a 3-0 win against Hoffenheim, Leverkusen won late and with a lot of effort in Augsburg, Stuttgart suffered another setback with a 1-3 loss in Gladbach, Frankfurt continued with a 1-0 win Leipzig is an exclamation mark and the cellar children Mainz, Cologne and Darmstadt are still not getting out of the quark. The bottom line is that there was more “same procedure as last year” than big surprises on this first matchday of 2024. Which was also the final matchday of the first half of the season.

Which means: Only now can we award the unofficial title of semi-series winner, who was previously called “autumn champion”. In the Bundesliga he is called Bayer Leverkusen, in our Opel Post prediction game he is called “Ditzinger”. So nothing has changed since Christmas. Although “Ditzinger” didn’t do much good at the start of the New Year with only ten daily points. His strongest rivals so far, “Tor” and “Littys-Adler”, weren’t quite back in form after the Christmas roast and New Year’s Eve punch and only picked up one point each. The new men behind the top are called “Crefelder” and “Hotti1961” and are only one point behind “Ditzinger”.

“Ditzinger” is also the December winner

How fitting: Our “Master of Candles” is also our monthly winner in December. He scored 63 points on match days 13 to 16. “Annette” guessed just as well, but, how could it be otherwise, is behind “Ditzinger” in the overall ranking, so she has to make do with second place. The decisive factor for “Ditzinger’s” monthly win was the 22 points he scored as the best player on matchday 13. And 21 points, which “Rogerli” scored for himself on the final match day before Christmas, secured “Rogerli” third place in the monthly ranking, ahead of “floridaboy” and “Pokemon”. Because of this, “Rogerli” has now moved up to 10th place in our overall ranking – and has thus clearly left his two competitors behind.

“Tom” impressively demonstrated what would have been possible on this 17th match day. A strong 24 day counter, hit five times accurately – that’s when a late New Year’s Eve firecracker was set off. “Tom” only alienated Frankfurt’s strength and Stuttgart’s weakness – it can happen. He is followed in the daily ranking by “Emma70” with 22 points, and “MGi” and “SepplundBaerli” are neck and neck in the race for third place. But “MGi” is better in the overall ranking, so he wins the jump-off.

Winner of the 17th matchday

Tom
Emma70
MGi
