Microsoft’s Lead Over Apple as U.S.’s Largest Company Grows
Apple’s shares fell Tuesday, while Microsoft edged higher, marking another record close. The software giant increased its lead over the iPhone maker as the U.S.’s largest company at the close of trading. Microsoft’s market capitalization ended the day $61.32 billion above Apple’s. On Friday, Microsoft’s market value surpassed Appleās for the first time since November 2021, based on closing prices and a newly issued share count from Apple.
