Bayern lost 1-0 at home against Bremen, Leverkusen turned their game around in Leipzig and won 3-2 in stoppage time. In fact: On this 18th matchday, a big exclamation point could have been put in this season’s title race. And yet other images will be remembered from this football weekend: those of Berlin’s Hertha second division game against Fortuna Düsseldorf, during which their supporters said goodbye to their late president Kay Bernstein in a dignified and moving way.
It was a rather disappointing game day for our betting community. The game between Mainz and Union Berlin fell victim to the weather, so there were no points to be gained. In addition to Bremen, Augsburg also surprised with a 2-1 win in Gladbach. And not everyone knew that promoted team Darmstadt would draw 2-2 against Frankfurt in the Rhine-Main derby. “hubert.t” got 17 points to win the day. He is followed in the places “Mittelkreis” and “terz11” with 15 points each, with “Mittelkreis” being better in the overall ranking – and the exact finish line has therefore been clarified.
“Ditzinger” is also the December winner
How fitting: Our “Master of Candles” is also our monthly winner in December. He scored 63 points on match days 13 to 16. “Annette” guessed just as well, but, how could it be otherwise, is behind “Ditzinger” in the overall ranking, so she has to make do with second place. The decisive factor for “Ditzinger’s” monthly victory were the 22 points that he scored as the best player on the 13th matchday. And 21 points, which “Rogerli” scored for himself on the final match day before Christmas, secured “Rogerli” third place in the monthly ranking, ahead of “floridaboy” and “Pokemon”. Because of this, “Rogerli” has now moved up to 10th place in our overall ranking – and has thus clearly left his two competitors behind.
However, there were a few turbulences in the overall standings. “Vara133” has moved up four places and thus to the top. 14 daily points were enough for this, as the previous table leader “Ditzinger” only managed seven. But “Vara133” is certainly not allowed to feel safe. Behind him there is a wide field of pursuers lurking within striking distance.
