Now Bayern have actually lost in Bochum. And Leverkusen even won against surprise newcomers Heidenheim, who had previously remained unbeaten in eight games. It can simply no longer be denied: the Bayer team is on course for the title and is now eight points ahead of the Munich team after 22 matchdays. Not many in our betting community predicted that they would be defeated in Bochum in the third competitive game in a row, but there are already some notorious Bayern skeptics: “Motterbein”, for example, as well as “PumpenMaik” and, of course, “ “Bochum84” definitely predicted the success of the Ruhrpottkicker.
The three tipsters scored with good daily results, but it was still not enough to win the day. “HAKA” secured this with an impressive 24 points. Although he was wrong in the Bayern game and didn’t trust Mainz to win over Augsburg – an immensely important success for the “05ers”, with which they can work their way back up to 16th place in the relegation zone. “Pico” follows in second place with 23 points, and “Eifel” in third place with 22 points. So a clear finish without having to have a jump-off – i.e. a look at the overall ranking. We haven’t had that for a long time.
January’s monthly winner is “Hubert.t”
In January, only three match days have to be used to determine the monthly winner. And his name is “Hubert.t.” Last but not least, his 17 points, which gave him the day’s victory on the tricky 18th matchday, secured him this success. In total he has 46 points, which means an average of 15.3. His closest rivals “Oscher” and “Sak” achieved a total of 15 and therefore 45 points – and crossed the finish line in second and third place. “Oscher” is better in the overall ranking and is therefore officially named runner-up.
And in the overall standings? “Littys-Adler” has stayed up. But with “Jaggabites” and “Now” two new names emerge as immediate pursuers. Both tipsters made significant leaps forward over the weekend. “Jaggabites” is now only two points behind the leader. Bayern can only dream of being this close.
