The last third of the season has begun. The battles for position are getting tougher and the results are getting closer. Yes, the confident league leaders from Leverkusen beat Kellerkind Mainz as expected, but only after fierce resistance from the “05er”, for whom a draw would easily have been possible. Second-placed Bayern only beat Champions League candidate Leipzig in stoppage time, bottom team Darmstadt scored points in Bremen and, not entirely unjustly, felt cheated out of a last-minute goal. Dortmund suffered a 2-3 defeat against Hoffenheim.
Accordingly, things were tight in our betting round. The winner of the day, “ThomasWiersgall,” scored 20 points because he got the score exactly right four times. But in three out of nine games he was completely wrong, something we don’t see often with our daily winners. “Miroklose” comes closest with 19 points. A play-off between “blauergoofy” and “heiko666” has to decide about third place. In other words: a look at the overall standings, as both have 17 points. And that shows: “blauergoofy” is 13 points better.
“frauholle04” wins in February
It is actually becoming increasingly scarce. Now it even takes a play-off to determine the monthly winner. Game days 20 to 23 were to be evaluated in February. And in these, “frauholle04” and “NuertingerBub” each scored 60 points, which corresponds to a smooth average of 15 points per round. In the overall ranking, “frauholle04” has 278 points, the “NuertingerBub” only 262, so the decision is in favor of the fairytale character. “Floridalady” secured third place. We actually had more faith in them after they scored a whopping 26 points on matchday 21. In the tricky 23rd lap, however, she only picked up four tired points, which severely ruined a better overall result.
There hasn’t been much movement at the top of the overall ranking this week. “Littys-Adler” remains at the front, “Jaggabites” at the back. But from now on things will get tighter from matchday to matchday. Bet?
