Will it get better or worse to be a driver in Norway? Isn’t road also preparedness? Do road construction and maintenance have to be so expensive? And is the so-called “heavy vehicle package” good enough?
Just before Easter, the government presented its proposal for a new National Transport Plan (NTP), with a total framework of NOK 1,308 billion over 12 years.
In the proposal, the government turns the main effort for the Norwegian road network in the direction of operation, improvements and maintenance.
At the same time, several important road projects are being scrapped, and the so-called “heavy vehicle package” of NOK 3.7 billion is perceived by many as very inadequate and defensive.
