[May 2, 2024] KGM sold a total of 9,751 units in April – 3,663 units in domestic and 6,088 units in export.

Through a consistent increase in export sales in Türkiye, Australia, and Hungary, KGM was able to sell more than 6,000 units for two consecutive months following last month, continuing a four-month growth trend since January.

Despite a significant increase in exports, the sales decline in domestic has resulted in a 1.8% year-on-year decrease in total sales. The gradual decrease in demand of the Torres in the domestic market has resulted in a year-on-year domestic decrease of 34.4%.

By vehicle type, 1,933 units of the Torres and 1,699 units of the Torres EVX were sold, leading a year-on-year export growth of 40.1% and a cumulative export growth of 39.4%.

KGM is expanding sales efforts through various marketing strategies, including test drives of the Torres EVX in the Türkiye and New Zealand markets in March to increase export volume. Additionally, global marketing activities such as collaborating with EuroSport to enhance brand awareness in European markets, and customer care – roving services in the Latin America and Asia-Pacific regions, are being pursued to further increase sales.

KGM is also strengthening its customer touchpoints through a variety of events and marketing campaigns, such as conducting a giveaway event of 1954 dons (equivalent to 7.3 kilograms) of gold bars for 196 people to commemorate the 70th anniversary of its founding in 1954 last month, and operating test drive centers within the service centers in Gunpo and Daejeon metropolitan areas since March to enhance customer experience and satisfaction.

A KGM official stated that “Through the launch of the Torres EVX and our efforts towards strengthening our global marketing strategy, we were able to sell more than 6,000 vehicles for two consecutive months.” and “The ongoing increase in export sales, as well as efforts towards the domestic market by strengthening various customer touchpoints, will be further intensified to increase global sales.”
