“It is good that the law now makes it possible to make legally secure and transparent regulations for the remuneration of works councils. This also means putting them on an equal footing with other employees in the company.
Co-determination and the work of works councils are of great value for democracy in companies and society. It is therefore important that Hubertus Heil and his ministry took the initiative. The law ends the unreasonable criminal gray area for management and works councils.
The future of work can only be shaped socially with an update of co-determination. This is particularly true with regard to digitalization, transformation and globalization. We will therefore continue to advocate for comprehensive reform and strengthening!”
