[July 1st, 2024] KGM has sold a total of 9,358 units in June – 4,102 units in domestic and 5,256 units in exports.
Through the launch of new models and expansion into various global markets, KGM’s domestic and export sales have shown a recovery, selling more than 9,000 units for the first time since April (9,751 units).
With a surge in demand in Hungary and Spain, KGM was able to recover its export sales this June. Recording over 5,000 units for the first time since April (6,088 units), the company has shown a month-on-month growth of 27.3%, year-on-year growth of 17.2%, and net year-on-year growth of over 20%.
KGM made an effort to strengthen its global market expansion in June by launching new products in New Zealand and Paraguay and enhancing global marketing campaigns.
In New Zealand, following the launch of the Torres EVX in March, KGM displayed the Torres and Torres EVX at the largest agriculture expo held in the Southern Hemisphere. In Paraguay, the company launched the KGM brand along with the new Torres model.
In the domestic market, KGM ended the month with a year-on-year decrease of 28.8%, despite showing a two-month sales recovery since April.
Following the release of its 3 taxi models (the new Torres, Torres EVX, and Korando EV) and the Torres EVX Van in May, KGM released the Korando EV model to customers in June and continued to actively target the domestic market.
In an effort to leverage domestic sales growth, KGM has been creating facilities for customers to have test drives and experience its product lineup. Following the opening of the test drive centers in the Gunpo and Daejeon metropolitan areas in March, the company unveiled the new KGM Experience Center in the city of Ilsan.
At the KGM Experience Center, customers are not only able to drive KGM’s vehicles but can also experience the brand’s heritage and identity through the brand history wall, concept cars and a variety of other exhibitions. KGM plans to establish similar centers in more accessible regions such as Seoul, Busan, and Daegu in the near future.
A KGM official stated that “Through the release of new models and growth in the global market, KGM was able to record net sales of over 9,000 units to achieve a month-on-month growth of 15.1% and continue its recovery,” and added that “KGM will aim to further increase its sales by launching new products in the global market through effective marketing strategies and by striving to meet the needs of customers.”
