Charlatte Autonom, a joint venture between Navya Mobility and Charlatte Manutention, will participate in the show alongside Charlatte Manutention and present its Autonom® Tract AT 135 tractor
Villeurbanne, France, 9 September 2024 – 9 PM CET – Navya Mobility
Charlatte Autonom, a joint venture created in 2018 by Navya Mobility, leader in autonomous mobility systems, and Charlatte Manutention, a Fayat Group company and world leader in electric baggage tractors, announces its participation in the GSE Expo Europe trade show from September 17 to 19 at Feira Internacional, Lisbon. Charlatte Autonom teams will be on hand at the Charlatte Manutention stand (EX46) to present the company’s latest innovations in autonomous logistics.
GSE Expo Europe is the only European show entirely dedicated to ground management equipment and services for the aviation industry. With over 3,000 participants and 160 exhibitors, it’s the must-attend event for all players in the airport industry, from airlines to ground service providers.
Presentation of the Autonom® Tract tractor, a showcase for level 4 autonomous technology
In particular, Charlatte Autonom will be presenting its Autonom® Tract, which features full Level 4 autonomy technology with no operator on board. A demonstration of the autonomous tractor will take place on Wednesday, September 18 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the 170 m2 (10x17m) demo area, where the tract will make an 8-way trip and tow a trailer.
Among recent deployments, notably in Japan, it is now Germany’s turn to operate the Autonom® Tract AT135 in level 4 autonomy, as it has been running on the production site of a major German car manufacturer since April (see PR of July 30, 2024), and is now a major innovation in the logistics sector. Charlatte Autonom’s level 4 autonomous solution is operational under nominal operating conditions on an industrial and logistics site, as demonstrated by the trust placed in it by this automaker. It is also modular and customized, adapting to customers’ needs and the specific features of their infrastructures. Last but not least, it places the utmost importance on safety, both before and during the integration of its solution. The successful deployment of the Autonom® Tract Level 4 autonomous tractor marks a crucial step in Charlatte Autonom’s journey towards widespread adoption of its solution in the industrial sector.
The company will be presenting its mobility solutions for the transportation of goods, as well as its innovations in safety and efficiency in logistics operations. Registration and further information are available here.
“GSE Expo Europe is a benchmark event in the airport logistics sector, and as such is of interest to Navya Mobility, Charlatte Manutention and our joint venture Charlatte Autonom. It’s an opportunity for us to present our autonomous logistics solutions and, in particular, to give a live demonstration of the Autonom® Tract. I’m convinced that our technology will win over the professionals in attendance”, said Jean-Claude Bailly, CEO of Navya Mobility.
“Taking part in this second edition of GSE Expo Europe is yet another opportunity for Charlatte Manutention to demonstrate the strength of our partnership with Navya Mobility through our joint venture, Charlatte Autonom. The demonstration of the Autonom® Tract AT135 underlines our commitment to providing intelligent, safe and efficient logistics solutions. The Autonom® Tract AT135 uses CE-certified technology, enabling it to be deployed and operated in L4 mode at selected pilot sites. We are therefore convinced that our solution will in future redefine standards in the airport sector and industry, offering substantial gains in terms of performance and safety”, said Bastien Devaux, CEO of Charlatte Manutention.
Charlatte Autonom will be exhibiting alongside Charlatte Manutention on stand EX46 at the show.
