The ACI aims for FIA environmental accreditation

The headquarters will be increasingly green

The Automobile Club of Italy intensifies its environmental commitment with a new challenge.

After the virtuous path undertaken in the organization of sporting events, the ACI has, in fact, joined the Environmental Accreditation Program of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), with the aim of improving environmental performance and obtaining FIA certification for the historic headquarters in Rome.

The FIA’s Environmental Sustainability Programme, in line with the “Global Environment Actions” strategies, aims to guide and support clubs and stakeholders in improving their environmental performance.

FIA accreditation evaluates the environmental impact of business activities and includes three levels – “One Star”, “Two Stars” and “Three Stars” – each corresponding to an increasing commitment and implementation of more stringent environmental requirements.

The ACI, thanks to a virtuous and ongoing process, aims to obtain, by 2024, the recognition of the first level (“One star”) which certifies basic environmental performance and the commitment to improve.

The ACI team, led by the Technical Professional Area and with the collaboration of the ACI Environmental Manager, is engaged in the FIA’s environmental sustainability program, with a dual objective: to achieve the ambitious objectives that will be defined in the ACI Environmental Policy and to always guarantee choices more sustainable and responsible.

Aware of its role as a large organisation, ACI aims to positively influence the choices of employees, associates, partners, authorities and society, to contribute to a global plan of collaboration and cooperation for sustainable development.
