Toyota Tsusho Corporation (“Toyota Tsusho”) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiaries, Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation (“Eurus Energy”) and Terras Energy Corporation (“Terras Energy”) will integrate their management on April 1, 2025, with Eurus Energy as the surviving company.
Through the integration of the two companies, Eurus Energy will operate in 16 countries and regions and become Japan’s No. 1 power generation company with a total wind and solar power capacity of 4,332 MW (as of the end of September, 2024). By combining the respective strengths of Eurus Energy and Terras Energy, Eurus Energy aims to lead the way in achieving carbon neutrality and becoming a renewable energy company that continues to be selected globally.
1. Purpose of the Integration
1) Expansion and reinforcement of renewable energy value chain
In addition to the highly competitive “creation” function of renewable energy that both companies possess, the two companies will work to expand and reinforce the renewable energy value chain by strengthening “collection, coordination, and delivery” through the supply of energy management services that utilize storage batteries and virtual power plant (VPP) platforms, etc.
2) Optimized management resource efficiency
By sharing and mutually utilizing business development and the technological expertise, know-how, and specialized human resources common to both companies, as well as consolidating corporate functions, the two companies will optimize management resources and strive to further corporate growth.
