Line 2 of the Turin Metro, one of the most anticipated infrastructures of the city, will also be built thanks to the contribution of the Temporary Group of Designers led by Proger S.p.A., and composed of RINA Consulting S.p.A., RINA Check srl, BVI srl, SIIP srl and Progeca srl, which will support the Extraordinary Commissioner in the awarding procedures, in the design checks and in the subsequent management of the contracts until the commissioning of the first section of the new line.
The expected duration of the assignment, including optional services, is 2,910 days and encompasses all phases of project development: tender, drafting of the PFTE (Technical Economic Feasibility Project), executive design and works management.
The Proger team has the task of guaranteeing the completion of the project within the established timescales, ensuring compliance with the required legal and quality standards, both with regard to the system systems and rolling stock, and the civil works and systems non-system, including underground stations.

A strategic line
With its “Y” configuration, the overall project of Line 2 involves the construction of 32 stations, across a total route of 27 km divided into three main sections, and will allow it to cross the city along its main north-eastern development axis. east/southwest. The infrastructure will help strengthen connections between the main centers of the city, including the FCA Mirafiori plant, the university centers of the Einaudi Campus and the Polytechnic of Turin, the city center and the Giovanni Bosco hospital.
The first section of Line 2, whose PMC activity was awarded to Proger’s RTP, is divided into two functional lots and develops between the “Rebaudengo” and “Politecnico” stations, along a ten kilometer underground route, with automatic circulation of trains.
