Another recognition arrives for the Automobile Club of Italy and the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, after the renewal of the agreement with Formula 1, demonstrating the commitment of ACI in its role as national sports federation.
ACI and Autodromo Nazionale Monza were awarded at the 2024 FIA Awards, which were held in Kigali, Rwanda, with the Founding Members’ Club Heritage Cup. The recognition, collected by Giuseppe Redaelli, President of Autodromo Nazionale Monza, celebrates excellence in promotion and protection of historic motoring, recognizing the commitment of the Temple of Speed in keeping alive the memory of over a century of motoring history.
“I am proud of this award because the Founding Members’ Club Heritage Cup is awarded every year by the Club which brings together the founders of the FIA, including ACI – declared Angelo Sticchi Damiani, president of the Automobile Club of Italy. This is an important award that is given to a very prominent figure in motorsport or automotive, to a museum or to a circuit – as in the case of Monza – and we are so far the only ones to have collected four since this Club vent years ago it was established on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the FIA. A sign that on a global level we are recognized for our ability to enhance the extraordinary excellence we have in our territory. In particular, the recognition to Autodromo Nazionale Monza adds to those awarded in the past to Mille Miglia, MAUTO-National Automobile Museum of Turin and Targa Florio”.
