Employee transport platform
Blue-chip companies such as Amazon, Tesco and Microsoft rely on Zeelo to transport staff to their offices, warehouses and factories. It was started by Sam Ryan, 31, Barney Williams, 33, and Dani Ruiz, 41, in 2016, and its software generates the most efficient routes, saving local drivers and bus operators time and money. In 2022 the founders were set to sell to a Nasdaq-listed company in a $100 million deal, but it fell through. It has since gone on to generate annual sales of £33.8 million, after raising an additional $14 million in venture capital. This supported the 2024 acquisition of Kura, which specialises in providing safe transport for schoolchildren.
