Mustaches for a Cause: Chicken N Pickle Mustache Month to Benefit Pediatric Hospice Organizations Serving 11 Markets

This February, Chicken N Pickle employees take on mustache challenge to support children fighting life-threatening conditions

Chicken N Pickle has raised more than $40,000 for pediatric hospice organizations since the inception of Mustache Month; Guests can help support dozens of local charities all year by simply purchasing a fountain drink

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Feb. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Chicken N Pickle – the original indoor/outdoor “eatertainment” complex with a casual, chef-driven restaurant, pickleball courts, sports bar and variety of yard games – is putting the “fun” in fundraising this February with its very own Mustache Month, a unique campaign benefiting pediatric hospice organizations in 11 markets throughout the U.S.  Employees are invited to grow a mustache to raise money and awareness, while guests may contribute to this cause and others through the Chicken N Pickle Cup Campaign.

For the sixth consecutive year, Chicken N Pickle will make a donation for every team member who ends the month with a new stache. Employees can kick off the month clean-shaven and let their mustaches take center court throughout the month. Every Monday, participants will submit progress photos showing the growth of their mustaches to be shared on social media.

“Mustaches start a conversation, giving us the opportunity to share awareness and drive discussion about pediatric hospice and these charities,” said Kelli Alldredge, president of Chicken N Pickle. “CNP plays a huge role in pushing awareness during Mustache Month and it is also an amazing team builder; we’d love to inspire other companies to join us.”

Guests can help too, simply by purchasing a non-alcoholic drink served in a Chicken N Pickle Mustache Month “community cup.”  Proceeds from these sales benefit local nonprofits every day of the year.

Mustache Month raised $15,500 for pediatric hospice organizations in 2024. Since starting the campaign in 2020, Chicken N Pickle has donated a total of $40,936 to such nonprofits in nine locations. Every Chicken N Pickle location across the country will host additional fundraisers throughout 2025 supporting the beneficiaries of Mustache Month.

Chicken N Pickle’s Mustache Month will support the following organizations in the communities it serves:

  • Ryan House in Phoenix, Arizona
  • HEROS for Children in Plano, Texas
  • Cook Children’s Health Foundation in Fort Worth, Texas
  • CareOusel Pediatric Division in Las Vegas, Nevada

Supporting Local Communities
Chicken N Pickle is committed to giving back to the communities it serves through philanthropic and service-oriented efforts that strengthen its neighborhood. In 2024 alone, Chicken N Pickle supported almost 9,000 charitable organizations, hosted more than 8,890

fundraisers, and infused more than $1.1 million back into local communities through in-kind donations, property give-backs and community cup campaigns.

Every Chicken N Pickle location employs a full-time community impact coordinator whose job is to “find a way every day to make a positive impact in the community” through service-oriented endeavors.

“One of our key tenets is to give back to the communities we serve,” adds Alldredge. “Mustache Month is a Chicken N Pickle tradition that combines a little friendly competition with a lot of heart, all in support of local nonprofits that help children and families through one of the most difficult times of their lives.”

The Chicken N Pickle Foundation, formed in 2020, works in partnership with local health and wellness charities to create long-lasting solutions to community needs. The “our hearts are local” mantra extends to Chicken N Pickle’s internal community as well.
