Hare, who has served as chief finance and strategy officer since 2019, represents a carefully planned succession that ensures operational continuity and strategic vision. Her five-year journey with Aspire has been defined by strategic initiatives that has strengthened the organization’s financial health, streamlined operations, and positioned Aspire for sustained growth. Her leadership seamlessly blends financial acumen with a deep commitment to person-centered support.

“Erica’s dedication to mission-driven work, combined with her exceptional leadership abilities, makes her the ideal candidate to lead Aspire into the future,” Katie Franco, Board Secretary, emphasized.  “The Board of Directors is confident that under her leadership, Aspire will continue to thrive and achieve even greater success.”

The transition honors the transformative leadership of Lou Giramma, who has guided Aspire since 2015. During his tenure, the organization expanded its reach, developed innovative support programs, and deepened its commitment to person-centered care. Giramma will remain actively involved through June 2025, guaranteeing a smooth leadership transition.

“Our work has always been about more than services,” Hare explains. “We’re creating pathways for people to define and live their most meaningful lives. That fundamental commitment will continue to guide every decision. I am honored to serve as Aspire’s next CEO and am deeply committed to building on the incredible work already being done.”

Aspire supports hundreds of individuals across New England and Maryland, providing comprehensive services including residential support, vocational training, and community integration. Hare’s leadership promises not just continuation of these critical services, but thoughtful evolution to meet emerging needs and opportunities.
