NEW YORK, Feb. 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — MedComms Experts (“MCE” or the “Company”), a global provider of rare-disease-focused medical communications services, is pleased to announce a strategic investment by The Brydon Group (“Brydon”).
MCE bridges the gap between its global base of biopharma clients and healthcare professionals (“HCPs”) via high-science content and effective communication strategies that facilitate understanding of rare disease therapies. The Company offers a unique blend of scientific accuracy, creativity, and innovation.
As part of the investment, Brydon will make significant investments into furthering MCE’s services, and into new technologies that will allow MCE to stay at the forefront of scientific creativity.
In conjunction with the investment, current CEO Wesley Portegies is moving into the role of Chief Strategy Officer, with a focus on business development, client relationships, thought leadership, and strategic initiatives. He will be succeeded as CEO by John Ribble, who previously was a member of the senior leadership team at Red Nucleus, a global pharma service provider, during a period of high growth.
Brydon and MCE look to fuel future growth through a combination of organic initiatives and complementary strategic acquisitions to produce an improved experience for clients.
Wesley Portegies, Chief Strategy Officer & Founder of MedComms Experts, commented, “Our partnership with The Brydon Group and John marks an exciting step forward for MedComms Experts. Their investment will allow us to enhance our consultative approach, expand AI-driven and scalable content solutions, and deepen our ability to deliver measurable impact for our clients. As I transition into my new role, I look forward to strengthening client partnerships, driving strategic innovation, and ensuring we continue to set the standard for effectiveness and creativity in Medical Affairs communications.”
John remarked, “Joining MCE and assuming this role is a profound responsibility. Wesley and the team have worked hard over the past twelve years to build MCE into a market leader, and I am honored to join this team. I look forward to building upon MCE’s historic success while enhancing the experience for our clients as we grow in new and innovative ways. Our future growth will be underpinned by two things: our relentless focus on maintaining a world-class culture and showing up every day for our clients as a trusted partner who can turn their medical communication aspirations into reality.”
Kyle Herman, Principal at The Brydon Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating: “We’re excited to be partnering with John, Wesley, and the MCE team. We see a tremendous opportunity to build on MCE’s success and further expand its ability to support current and future clients.”
