On February 19, 2025, Harmony issued a press release announcing receipt of “a Refusal to File (RTF) letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for pitolisant for the treatment of excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) in adult patients with idiopathic hypersomnia (IH).” The press release stated that “the primary outcome for EDS between pitolisant and placebo did not reach statistical significance in the randomized withdrawal phase of the Phase 3 INTUNE Study[.]”
On this news, Harmony’s stock price fell $3.77 per share, or 9.64%, to close at $35.32 per share on February 19, 2025.
