As part of the renowned Monkee’s boutique franchise, Monkee’s of Chattanooga will open in The Read House Hotel, offering the community high-end women’s fashion, shoes, and accessories.
“As a long-time shopper of Monkee’s, I would immediately begin searching for a location whenever my husband and I were headed for a road trip; it became part of the itinerary! Over the years, while shopping at Monkee’s, my husband would comment how Chattanooga needed its own Monkee’s location! This past spring, we were headed to a ball tournament and stopped in at the Murfreesboro location; after leaving with several bags in tow, my husband looked at me when we got into the car and asked, ‘So are you ready to open a Monkee’s?’ I didn’t hesitate — I immediately said, ‘Yeah! Let’s do it!’ From that moment forward, we began this incredible journey to open Monkee’s of Chattanooga! It feels so surreal that in less than a year, we have come from wishing there was a Monkee’s in our hometown to now owning Monkee’s of Chattanooga,” said owner Autumn Burke.
Autumn and Kevin Burke, natives of Chattanooga, have raised their family there and love the community. Autumn has worked in the real estate industry for 15 years, with a hyperfocus on luxury real estate. Their store design reflects this passion, offering an elevated and refined shopping experience.
“Being inside the infamous Read House Hotel is the cherry on top for me! If you know me personally, I am obsessed with the history, glitz & glamour of the roaring 20’s aesthetic the hotel boasts from the moment you step inside. I wanted to pay homage to this by bringing some of the rich jewel tones into the space and providing a continued experience in our store,” said Burke. “We are the first boutique inside a hotel in Chattanooga, TN; we will have our regular clients/customers, but we will also have an ever-changing customer that will shop our store because they’re staying at the Read House. We are thrilled for the opportunity to style and serve women from all over—not just the Chattanooga area.”
Monkee’s of Chattanooga is excited to offer brands such as Farm Rio, Ripley Radar, Love the Label, Celia B, Alden Adair, Butrich, and Generation Love, to name a few. With the help of the corporate buying team, Autumn has carefully curated a selection of brands suited for everyday wear, special occasions, and resort styles, ensuring a diverse shopping experience for customers.

More than 2,500 direct mailers will be distributed across the Chattanooga area, inviting shoppers to experience a trunk show featuring LeFeme Italian leather handbags. Mackenzie Thompson of Alchemy MedSpa will also be on-site, offering Botox treatments at a special rate of $10 per unit.
