Statements
José López-Tafall, general director of ANFAC indicated that “a priori February has been a very good month for electrification. It has followed the positive trend of January and the registrations of the month reached 14% of the market share. But we cannot trust ourselves, since these first two months of 2025 are the reflection of sales that occurred at the end of 2024 and are now materializing. The reality is that not having a plan of aid for the purchase of pure and plug -in hybrids is conditioning the market and stopping many orders, although companies are making important commercial efforts with the expectation of a rapid correction of the situation and with retroactive effects, as the government has announced. ”
According to López-Tafall, “the positive trend of January and February is the one we would like to have throughout the year, but for this or a help plan with that retroactive character is launched or we will live an important fall in the electrified market, as happened in Germany last year. Administrations and sector are already working to recover the aid as soon as possible to make the first scenario that is carried out and transmit to the citizen a scenario of certainty and security to make the definitive leap to the electrified vehicle. Without forgetting the Spain Plan Auto 2030 that we are working with the government to accelerate electrification ”.
